Dette kan være en væsentlig besparelse i forhold til at skulle konvertere RS485 systemer til USB. Alle modeller leveres med løst eller monteret USB kabel. Konverterne understøtter både OHCI (Open Host Controller Interface) og UHCI (Universal Host Controller Interface) og visse modeller har optisk isolation op til 2000V (se skema). Maksimal hastighed op til 921,6 Kbit/s på RS422/485 porten
